It’s not too late to start a garden. By the way, I’ve got dozens of strawberries coming up from plants that I planted last year. Sweet (pun intended). This is a great work/reward ratio. Planted dozens of plants ONCE. Throw in occasional weeding and watering. Get strawberries for months.

If you don’t let your kids tag along with you while working when they’re young and can’t help much, you should not gripe when they’re older and don’t want to help.

This is a good read: Despite the ongoing existence of “Transformers,”a movie is not the first layer of a multi-platform marketing scheme but rather a singular act of art to be experienced, debated with good friends over food, drinks and revisited years later. It’s a message from an analog dad to a digital son.

Serve cheese at room temperature, not refrigerator temperature. It tastes better. Trust me.

Take your kids to breakfast. A local joint is best. Cracker Barrel is good, too.
